Vandenberg Bulb Company has been a family business for five generations. Henry Vandenberg began traveling to the U.S. after the war in 1946. In 1953, he married Joanne and moved to the U.S. to start Vandenberg Bulb Company in Michigan. They had two sons and two daughters. Their sons, Jack and John, worked in the company through high school and joined the company full time in 1974 and 1975. Jack is married to Jean and they have three children, Tim, Amy, and Steven. Tim joined Vandenberg Bulb Co. as a 5th generation addition in May of 2002 after graduating from Michigan State University where he earned a degree in science with a major in horticulture. John is married to Susan and they have two daughters, Jennifer and Sarah. Jennifer is also working with the company. She has graduated from Michigan State University where she earned a degree in science with a major in horticulture.
